Privacy Policy
Who we are
This policy covers michelematuro.com and its client portal, operated by Michele Maturo ("I," "me"). It explains what information I collect, why, and how it's protected.
What I collect
When you apply or send an inquiry: your name, email, phone (optional), location, and your answers to the application or inquiry questions.
If you become a client: your New Client Packet answers and signed agreement, session bookings, messages exchanged in the portal, and a record of payments.
Payments: processed by Stripe. I never see or store your full card number.
The free self-assessment on the website runs in your browser. Your answers are not sent to me unless you choose to include them in an application.
How I use it
Only to review your application, provide coaching, schedule and confirm sessions, process payments, communicate with you, and keep required business records. I do not sell or rent your information, and I do not use it for advertising.
Who helps me run this
Your information is stored and processed by trusted service providers acting on my behalf: Supabase (secure database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email delivery). Each is bound to protect it and may only use it to provide their service.
Confidentiality
What you share in coaching stays private. I will not share it without your written permission, except when there is a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, or when disclosure is required by law. Private session notes are visible only to me.
Security
Your portal uses secure, password-free sign-in links, encrypted connections, and access rules that let each client see only their own information. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your data.
How long I keep it
Client records are kept for as long as we work together and for up to seven years afterward for business and tax purposes, unless you ask me to delete them sooner where the law allows. Applications that don't become clients are deleted within one year.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information at any time. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for using these rights. To make a request, email hello@michelematuro.com.
Not for emergencies
This website and portal are not monitored for emergencies. If you are in crisis or in danger, call or text 988, or call 911.
